Turning an idea into a reality takes time, commitment and experience in the marketplace. In 1985 Stan Murphy and Gerald McGhee  decided to pursue a dream of creating  an organization of technical and business strength “second to none” that would deliver cost-effective technology services and products to a variety of clients.  Relying on their  more than three decades of combined experience making new technologies succeed in real-world, real-time business, the founders envisioned Systems, Services, & Designs, Inc.  providing  software consulting services primarily to customers in the Washington area.

As the technology services market matured, SSD ventured beyond the Washington, DC area and established alliances with many of the leading software providers - relationships that have enabled  the company to stay abreast of newest  technological developments.

Today, the company provides engineering, management, technical and computer systems support  for a diverse group of  clients --services that span the entire technology lifecycle -- from  strategy definition and planning; through implementation and integration; to extended support.

Our customers recognize the value we provide through our focused business approach, our responsiveness, and our ability to deliver superior systems on schedule and within budget. As a measure of our success, SSD was recently nominated as Contractor of the Year by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) for providing exceptional service.
