Howard
University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB), the organization
chartered with institutional compliance of federal regulations
governing the responsible conduct of research (RCR) involving human
participants has joined forces with System, Services & Designs,
Inc. to
systematically track the research process.

This innovative system is the brainchild of
Dr. Warren K. Ashe, Executive Secretary of Howard’s IRB.
“I am pleased with what we have accomplished together,
especially the report generation functionality of the system. The
data is current and factual and may be presented in various ways, so
if there is an issue of non-compliance, I will know it immediately
and can swiftly take the appropriate action", explained Dr. Ashe.
"I feel a lot better about federal compliance and auditing now that
our system is in place", added Donalia Clay, the IRB Administrator.
"I
had completely run out of places to store IRB documentation, and now
I have an efficient online tracking system with all of the
functionality we require for across the board federal compliance".
